I wanted to participate in Wordless Wednesday today. I am seldom wordless, and this will be no exception. This picture caught me off guard. I was teaching T how to use the digital camera, and he pushes too hard when he takes the picture, so the whole camera moves down when he does it. Here he tried to take my picture, and the focus ends up being on my neck, which showed me for the first time I had even noticed it, that I have a double chin! Aaaarrrrggghhh! And I see this picture after eating a ton of buffalo wings for dinner which now makes me feel guilty. So, back on a diet I go. See what happens when I don't have chickens to walk every day.

LOL! No, not like on a leash or something. I have to walk through all the houses each day when I have chickens to pick up the dead ones. The whole walk is about 2 - 3 miles. It is great exercise, but definitely not what people look for in a fun activity.
You're blog is great... stop by mine to pick up an award...
An Award??? See now that will show ya. I post a picture of my double chin and the awards start to roll in. ROFLOL OK, there is the chance that the double chin is not related to the award. Thank you very much Joey for the award. I do appreciate the recognition. Keeping up with a blog is an extra effort, but I assume we all love to do it, or we wouldn't be writing on them so often. I love your site as well, but I am guessing I can't give the award back to the issuer. Probably stated in the rules somewhere. Darn rules! Foiled again.
Thank you Anne for the tips. I should have scribbled them down at the time when I read them. And, I guess one of my problems is having a photographer who is only a little over 3 feet tall. Difficult for him to get a downward angle, and if he did, then I'd have a picture of my bald spot. It's a lose/lose when T has the camera.
Your son is doing great to take that picture! And who wants a picture taken from below--nothing looks good from that angle! Your little boy will keep you busy chasing him--if he's anything like my little lady :) Take care, and thanks for the comments on my blog!
haaa haaa. I am lucky my little just wants to see the pictures taken and has not asked to take a picture yet.
Hey, at least he got your neck! And you know, I had no idea raising chickens helped you lose weight. If it wasn't for the fact that I live in a semi-urban area, I'm lazy, and my dogs would kill any chicken they came near, I'd try it myself!
Chickening ( I think I just made that word up) is all about exercise. It is a mixture of both cardio and strength training. Walk around quickly, occasionally carrying a random chicken on your foot, or pushing chickens out of the way with your foot as you shuffle past them. Be careful of course not to step on them or their feet. Then do that while carrying a bunch of very heavy dead chickens. Earlier in the flock there is less carrying heavy stuff, hopefully, but then you can walk faster because there is more room to move.Of course if you want to try it for a few years, I would be glad to sell you the farm. Your dogs will have plenty of room to run around OUTSIDE the chicken houses on the 25 acres of land. Just make the check payable to... OK, probably not.
