Now that I have the Vibram Five Fingers I have started a whole new training regime. I learned a lot from my last attempt at training for the half marathon. I have seriously been bitten by this running bug. I can tell it has gotten me because after having been forced by injury to take time off, I found it difficult to not run. Every day I think about running, and even on days when i ran early in the morning, by afternoon I wonder if I should run a little more because I am feeling good. I ran again today. 4.46 miles of painful hills stood between me and a new personal best time for this self established route. In the end I won the battle against the pavement and reduced my time to 46 minutes. Two days ago I ran it in 50 minutes, and last week end I ran it in 48 minutes. I like Saturday morning runs. I use the treadmill all week, so Saturdays I go outside and do a slightly longer run. Today I ran about 3.5 miles straight without walking, which is my best so far. I am hoping to be up to 4 miles before the 5K on June 13th. That will give me the confidence to run a little faster during the 5K. It also gives me confidence that I will be able to do a 10K eventually.

My last post I got all excited about getting back on the Wii Fit and losing some of the pounds that had crept up on me over the past few months. I was serious too, and had great intentions to get right on it, assuming that the next morning I would be slalom skiing down Wii mountain. No such luck. Little Baby Q is starting to get the hang of walking. I had her pegged for about a month ago, but she has her own schedule. I just figured that if you can jump and do squats you should be able to walk. Here she is using some support to walk. Yesterday was the first day she tried it.So amazing to watch her grow and develop into a little girl and start to leave the baby stage slowly behind her.
